Villager from the Cibeber Girang Kampung in Banten Province, West Java, Indonesia give me a lesson in Bahasa Sunda while I'm on a People Smuggling mission.
Many people ask me how I go about learning languages. As you can see from this clip, I never let an opportunity go to waste!

This clip isn’t in the same vain as many of my other clips, but I think you can gauge just from this raw footage, the energy that is out there when learning a language and understand how for me, this has become a life-long addiction.

Over the past year, I have been traveling all over Indonesia tracking the families of Indonesian men who have been imprisoned in Australia after being tricked into getting on a boat and bringing illegal immigrants across to Australia.

This is the village of Cibeber Girang in Banten Province of Java. As you can see, all you have to do is ask, and you have a whole town full of language teachers at your service.

If you’re wondering what a People Smuggling trip is, you can watch a documentary I just made with Al Jazeera via this link –http://stujay.com/2012/05/21/the-people-smugglers-scum-of-the-earth-mr-rudd/
